Choice B enlists the features utopia with commas, correctly, as they are dependent. while the choice A uses semi colon. Please explain why choice A is correct.

Can someone please explain use of semicolon in option A.
From what i understand, semicolon is used for independent clauses. and these are dependent .
Please correct me where i am wrong .

*A cannot be correct*

Explanation: a coordinating conjunction cannot be used after semicolon, in this case "; but" is wrong.

The correct answer should be B
