Hello all. I am planning on applying to top 10-20 schools for next fall (Darden is my number 1) and wanted to get some input from you guys. I went to UCSD and got a very low undergrad gpa(2.6). I took the gmat once and got a 680. On the other side, I've dropped everything and have been working at a start up software company over the past year and a half (5 employees). I've been very involved and have a good amount of responsibility. We started making successful sales over the past few months and the company is really starting to thrive. In addition, I've been doing economic consulting on the side and have my name published on a few international reports. Do you think my circumstantial work experience will make up for my low gpa and mediocre gmat score? This is all assuming I do very well on the other aspects of the application, ie. essays and letters of rec. Any input would be appreciated!
