Tried a different way to solve this:
Based on the question assumed :
A, B, C and D to be the following:
A-> New York,
B-> USA,
C - > North America.
D - > Earth.

So aligns with the statement if you are in New York, You are in the US, If you are in the US you are in North America Continent. If you are in North America you must in Planet Earth.

Now lets go by the answer statements one by one:
A. If You are in Planet Earth then you are in New York. You could be anywhere in the planet. (Incorrect)

B. If you are not in the US then you are not in North America Continent. You could be anywhere in North America Continent. (Incorrect)

C. If you are not on Earth, you cannot be in New York. (Seems Correct, let's hold this statement until we go through the rest of the two).

D. If you are on earth then you are somewhere in E. Nothing about E has been given in the statement. (Incorrect)

E. If you are not in New York then you are not on Planet Earth. Which is incorrect because you not being in New York doesn't not mean you are not else where. (Incorrect)

Hence C is the answer.

If A, then B.
If B, then C.
If C, then D.
If all of the statements above are true, which of the following must also be true?

(A) If D, then A.
(B) If not B, then not C.
(C) If not D, then not A.
(D) If D, then E.
(E) If not A, then not D.

Why is the official answer C ?

For example, choice B could be correct too. If not B then not C.
