Doing OG questions, section by section, I believe is the best test of applying what you have learnt against the best mimic of what you are finally gearning to be up against. I think you should do the OG questions as suggested.

I just finished going through the first part of the Number Properties book and it is now telling me to do the problems from the OG. Should I do this? I thought it was best to save the OG questions for later in studying? I know their are contradictory theories on this topic but I am curious to know what others think. Thanks

Nos

Probably that's the best strategy since the book could have used a bit more questions/exercises.
Note that by the time you finish all of the MGMAT guides, you will be done with all OG questions.
They do not overlap with GMAT Prep, so you should be safe there.

Based on my own personal experience with this same issue, I can tell you to practice the OG questions alongside the Manhattan books. The first time I read the math series, I waited to finish them before I attempted the OG. But by the time I reached the OG, I had forgotten the early concepts that I covered. I then had to re-read the MGMAT books with the OG - the correct way, in my opinion. You need guidebooks to learn the concepts and good practice questions to reinforce what you learn from the books. And don't worry about depleting your question sources too soon. After the OG and the five Manhattan math books, go for the GMATClub tests.

That's definitely what I'll do. Now I just need to hope that my 4th edition MGMAT books match up close enough with my 11th Edition OG. If not I'll be ordering the 12th edition and have to wait for them to come in before continuing.

Ah, good point about matching the correct Manhattan and OG editions. Be careful with that!
