The second edition version for OG Quant and OG Verbal are better in the sense that they contain a larger portion of difficult questions. But some feel that the books still suffer from too many low-difficulty questions. I suppose, then, that this problem is even more pronounced in the previous edition.

While the first edition is probably cheaper, I would advise you to purchase the newest version - even if the difference in quality between the two is not that noticeable.

The guys at Manhattan GMAT have made a useful thorough comparison between the two editions here.

The Problem Solving part is here.

For an exact list of differences between the 1st and 2nd editions (Which Problems Changed), download the Problem Solving Problem List in PDF format here.

The Data Sufficiency part is here.

For an exact list of differences between the 1st and 2nd editions (Which Problems Changed), download the Data Sufficiency Problem List in PDF format here.

I hope this helps! Good luck!

Very helpful. That's around 20-25 more problems for me per section! Thank you so much!
