A lot of the Consortium first rounders that did get offers for admission were offered money up front. I met a few at Kellogg DAK in February, and they said that Darden threw the kitchen sink at them so they'd commit early.

Darden, like UCLA and Haas just by virtue of the fact they are public Uni's probably do not have as much fellowship money to offer. I could be completely wrong, but this could be the case. Ross is an exception in this case since Univ of Michigan has a multibillion dollar endowment.

Good Morning All, long time reader first time poster! Also waiting and staring at my phone for any Yale calls! I was admitted a few weeks ago (ranked Yale 1 of 2) and am 94% sure I'm going regardless of Consortium results (In with $$$ at BU, wait-listed with interview at NYU). Glad to (mostly) be done with this long process, but still anxious to learn my financial fate! Thank you all for your insights over the last few months! Congrats to all who've realized their goals and good luck to those still waiting!!!

Congratulations on Yale! Absolute best of luck with the fellowship, and stay active on the boards! We've got to all get together at OP, maybe take a big GMATClub group photo or something.

Thanks a lot; and congrats to you on Ross and Fellowship! Yes, I look forward to OP! I felt more confident about membership than getting into any schools, so hopefully I'll be able to make it there!

Other than armymba2012, who else that applied in RD-2 has received the fellowship???

There might be another wave of fellowships coming.

UVa's endowment is comparable to UMich & UCBerk, they all are top 5 public uni endowments at or above 5 billion, umich is definitely 1-2 bill more tho (Uva constantly reminds alum that by giving we can grow the endowment & stay a top uni)

The endowment for Ross alone is $400,000,000.00, not to mention Stephen Ross paid for the whole building plus technology upgrades. The University of Michigan alone has an $8bil endowment -- they have more money to toss around.

Nessy if you're planning to attend UVa & Darden the first thing you have to know is that it is not called "campus" we call it GROUNDS. ;-) good luck, I loved my time there as an ug, and I spent a lot of time at Darden for a business ethics seminar course

Haha, duly noted ol' chap. I loved it there too, and after my second visit it tied with Fuqua (non-CGSM) for first place on my overall list. Since then however, there's been limited (wait listed) love from them coming my way. I hope it works out for you though, it's a great place hence the reason I made two visits, the first being while on vacation from war  ... so I do know how good their "grounds" are.

I haven't seen a lot of information on fellowships, but I think it's the CGSM 2010 thread that shows quite a few Ross CGSM fellowships, especially relative to the other schools. I'm sure the entire endowment helps, no question. I also believe Ross feels very, very strongly about diversity and backs that talk up with some serious money.

Well, its looking increasingly like I will not be going to B-School this fall, officially wait-listed at Ross:

Yale- Ding (ranked them last)
Wharton - Ding
Haas - Waitlist
Ross - Waitlist
Darden - (Haven't heard anything , so likely a Ding)
Tuck - TBD

Tuck is my only hope, and judging from the rest of my cycle I can't say I'm confident.

Ross was really a punch in the gut,...it was my only interview and I thought overall i had a good shot. Anyway, i'll be glad when the week is over. From a sinus infection that started on Monday and kept me out of work until today, to waiting around and not getting the Ross call on Wednesday, its been a demoralizing week. Best of luck to all, and congrats to those of you that were admitted.

Touché Senator - Darden's endowment is $350mill and they have 1200 less students total (including full, part, exec) and 400 less full time students, so more $$ per student. just saying UVa isn't lacking funds.

I do remember going to a Darden info sess and asking an adcom how many Cgsm students they accept each year, she said between 15-18 or half of their URMs come from cgsm.

Semi-lurker here.

Congrats on to all admits and FS recipients! And congrats to Wailisters as well- you guys are still in the game... don't give up!

I was a bit more active and in the know last year. I was WL at Stern and finally removed from the WL.

This year I decided to stay away from the forum and be more proactive about improving my application. I was pretty good at it for a while but I've been all over this forum for the last two weeks- including a trip abroad with a 9 hrs difference in time zone.

My stats:

R2

Haas- dinged

Darden- interviewed in Feb

Tuck- interviewed at Divco

Stern- no word
