Hi,
So I'll be taking the GMAT on Tuesday and I have been feeling fairly confident with my studies but just had a bad (based on what I'm aiming for) practice exam (GMAT Prep). I got a 710 but it was heavily weighted by my verbal score of 44, I only scored a 42 quant. My quant scores on Manhattan tests have been steady around 44 or 45 although my last Manhattan on my last Manhattan test I scored a 49 (the week after I took one and scored 43, but terribly hungover so I've not been counting it, still better than what I did today).
I know I'm capable of scoring a 48 or a 49 on the Quant and 10 out of the 12 questions I missed today were questions I could have gotten right, but I don't want to mess my Q score up by having a bad day and making stupid mistakes. So I a wide open right now to any recommendations about how to steady myself on this.
I'm thinking of re-taking just the quant portion tomorrow to see how I do. Would that be a good idea? I am also finishing out the OG Quant Review book over the weekend, I still have about 50 PS and 50 DS to go and I wanted to use them to keep me focused during these last few days.
Also, if it's important, I missed the first 2 questions on Quant today. Looking back on them they were both very easy, but I overthought them. How much could this initial downset have affected my score? After this, the questions I missed were sporadic and spread out throughout the exam.
Thanks a million!
Brian
