I started studying seriously for the GMAT from last week. I was waiting to get my hands on the Manhattan series. I now have no excuse not to hit a 700. I will be taking the exam in November, so I can apply before January.
I really need to get a full scholarship because I cant finance my way through an American MBA.
I am currently looking at Columbia and NYU.
I will keep updating this post as I continue.

Week 2: I am currently half through the 3rd Manhattan prep book in the series. I cant help feeling I am really slow. But November seems a long way away. Currently scoring really well on the Official guide and Quant. selected questions that are pointed out at the end of the strategy guides. Good sign.

You haven't updated us in a long time. When is your exam and how is your progress going? Or have you already finished your exam because it's already nearly mid novembeR?

After a long search, i have seen a post from a Ghanaian. I would like to know what happened. Did u meet your set target?? any advice??

This series of posts is from over 7 years ago - and the original poster hasn't logged on in over 6 years - so you might not receive a response from that poster.

From your post, it's not clear how long you've been studying. Are you just starting out or have you put in some serious study time already?

If you're just beginning, then it would be a good idea to take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT Test; you can access 2 for free from www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). If you want to do a bit of practice first, so that you can familiarize yourself with the general content and question types first, then that's fine - but you shouldn't wait too long to take that initial CAT. A FULL CAT takes about 3.5 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have those scores, you should report back here and we can come up with a study plan.

I'd like to know a bit more about your timeline and goals:
1) What is your goal score?
2) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
3) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
