when finishing the second essay (analysis of issue), i forgot to remove my notes at the top of the essay (few bullet points and comments, not in standard-english of course) before the time expired. I know it is stupid..it just happened.
i am worried because i know the computer analyzes and scores the essay... will this badly influence my essay score? does any one have experience with this?? It is going be hard waiting for the essay result..
please help.... much appreciated!!!!!!

First, let me welcome you to the GMATclub!
I really wouldn't worry about it. As you already know, there is a human grader, a computer grader, and two essays. The human and computer grades are averaged and then the two essays are averaged. This is where it stops right? WRONG...
There is a little known fact though that I think may come into play on your essay. If the human and the computer grade is more than 1 point different, a 3rd grader comes into play. This 3rd grader is another human, and takes the place of the computer's grade. So if the computer totally kills you for the notes, and the human grader will obviously know they are notes and the two grades will differ, then the 2nd human will also grade. I will guess this will not affect your score much at all, if any. Here is the direct quote from GMAC:
Come back and let us know how you did! I would try not to worry about it, b/c as long as you score above a 4.0 on the AWA the schools won't even take a look at the AWA. Especially since the GMAT is being changed in a few months anyways since it was obvious that the AWA was pretty useless to Adcoms.

GMATLA, thanks a lot for the insightful reply.
I'd hate for this silly mistake to cost me given that I got a good math/verbal score (760) and wrote good essays. This is the only reason stopping me from celebrating being done with the GMAT!!
