I'm confused. D you know for sure whether you will have the chance to appeal their decision? It might be a closed case by this point.

They say I can appeal - the question is whether it's worth it. Right now I'm looking at the Tutor option as well.

As a side note to everything else stated, your final score report will show that you took the test with extra time. I'm unsure if this will effect anything, but it is worth noting

This is no longer true. The score will be reported as normal with no indications of accommodations.

From the final paragraph found here( https://www.gmac.com/why-gmac/gmac-news/gmnews/2010/september/leveling-the-playing-field-with-gmat-accommodations.aspx) :
"Tests taken with accommodations are not scored any differently, nor are accommodations flagged on Official Score Reports. "

I'm seeing this and the responses so many years later. I'm a psychologist who among other things does disability evaluations for students seeking extra time or other accommodations on GMAT, USMLE, LSAT and others. If you submit a good comprehensive evaluation which proves the case, I find that its' not a problem to get accommodations. Many evaluators do not follow GMAC guidelines for evaluators and they do not prove the case. Evaluations in addition have to be in line with DSM and ADA criteria for a disability, which requires very sensitive and detailed inquiry into current symptoms and past history. It's important to prove "significant impairment in life functions" not just on tests. the evaluation cannot be sloppy or superficial. One also needs to rule out other causes of the problem and sometimes there are comorbid/ or several diagnoses operating at once.
