correct answer is option E as it provides a alternate cause for weakening the conclusion
all other options are either OFS or irrelevant in regard to the topic

Why can't A and D be the answer? are they irrelevant to the topic? But they still provide an alternate method.
Also, can someone Explain why the OA is E, in detail.
