Two racecar drivers, Abernathy and Berdoff, are driving around a circular track. If Abernathy is 200 meters behind Berdoff and both drivers drive at their respective constant rates, how long, in seconds, will it take for Abernathy to catch up to Berdoff?
(1) The circumference of the racetrack is 1,400 meters.
(2) Abernathy is driving 25 meters per minute faster than Berdoff.
(A) Statement 1 alone is sufficient, but statement 2 alone is not.
(B) Statement 2 alone is sufficient, but statement 1 alone is not.
(C) Both statements together are sufficient, but neither alone is sufficient.
(D) Each statement alone is sufficient.
(E) Neither statement is sufficient, even when combined.
Two racecar drivers, A and B , are driving around a circular track. If A is 200m behind B and both drivers drive at their respective constant rates, how long, in sec, will it take for A to catch up to B?
(1) The circumference of the trace is 1400m.
(2) B is driving 25 m per min faster than A.
The correct answer is B. Just want to double check.
I suspect that it is a typo, and statement 2 should be: A is 25 m/min faster than B. Otherwise, we do need the circumference of the track (to know how many meters is B behind A) as it will be equivalent to B catching up A then, correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks for your clarification in advance.
