I do not see a separate section for IR on gmatclub forum. Hence, I am posting here.
Is there a better way to prepare for the IR section? Also, can someone pls provide the feedback for
MGMAT's IR and Essay strategy guide.
Thank you.
Hi Lotus,
I'm not sure what you mean by "better way," but the best bet is to practice! I can't speak to
MGMAT's IR materials, but the official practice problems, and problems by test-prep companies, will give you a lot of things to work on.
As for specific techniques, different courses will offer different suggestions. But one thing that's universal is the value of paraphrasing. When I teach, the words I use more than any others are probably "in your own words." It's important to understand that text accompanying tables and images; it's important to take notes
a la reading comprehension on Multi-Source-Reasoning problems, espeically those with lots of text; and it's important to use your critical reasoning skills to paraphrase evidence and conclusion when you're dealing with Two-Part Analasys questions that involve understanding arguments.
Keep up the studying, and let me know how else I can help!
