Recently I had decided to focus on my weak areas (Num. Prop. & Geometry) for a month and take a math diagnostic.
Prior to this, I was scoring around 40 to 44 consistently and even hitting Q48 at one point.
Yesterday, I took my diagnostic and scored a Q40 and I was somewhat surprised because I had 2 minutes to guess the last 10 questions (got 1/10 right).
If I had sufficient time to finish the last 10 questions, what do you think my chances of hitting a Q49 would be? If Q49 is too high would a 47 or 48 be possible?
Please advise.

No one can tell you your chances on hitting that Q47/48/49 because much of it depends on how you were doing before those 10 questions, how many questions you would have gotten right, what level of questions you would have gotten right etc.
The best thing for you would be to improve your timing and finish the test comfortably. In general, leaving questions unanswered carries a larger penalty than answering the questions incorrectly.
It is definitely doable.
