Hi Guys,
I took the GMAT today and got a 730 (43Q 48V). During my prep I found the math difficult at times but I still thought I could do better than 43. I knew I could score well on verbal, though I didn't expect to get a 48.
I have a quant background. I work in finance and I have the CFA. My grades in UG quant courses were ok. Does it matter that my breakdown isn't great? I really don't want to retake and I doubt that even if I get a bit higher in quant I will be able to improve much on a 730 overall since a 48 verbal isn't a lock for me.

Dude, you're fine. Start on you're essay's if you can, and get those letters of recommendations crossed off you list.
Remember the Admission process is overall, not just a gmat score. If I were you, I'd be happy, and move on to the rest of the package.

Congratulations on a such a fantastic performance! Your overall score is excellent and more than sufficient for any business school. While your math-verbal split is unique, it's certainly not a concern by any means. A 730 doesn't justify a retake.

This statement right here is a a major reason why you shouldn't retake the test. I don't detect much motivation or confidence. You're probably also a bit tired of the whole GMAT experience. Bad things can happen in any endeavor when there isn't enough energy, confidence, or motivation involved. A retake is too risky and probably not worth it anyway. As laythesmack23 points out, it might be better to focus on other areas of the application process.
