hello all.... made my first attempt at GMAT 4days ago after a month's preparation based on OG 13,
MGMAT, Kaplan premier & 800. took CATs from Kaplan and GMAT prep my scores were 590, 640, 650, 690, 700 for Kaplan tests and 690, 690 for GMAT prep tests.
My performance on the D day as you can see has been consistent with my practice tests but nonetheless was not too happy with the score (I was hoping for a miracle i guess). Plus I was quite drained out halfway through quant - i remember reading 580 as 508 thrice before I realized my mistake. Besides, I think I need to have 720-740 score to have a better chance for an interview call from schools like Johnson, Ross, Tepper.
I discovered this forum a few days ago actually, and I am really inspired by several 500s/600s to 700s experiences posted here. Further, i discovered tons of useful material here especially the tough question varieties. After discovering all this I feel I should give one more shot in say 45 days time. But, I need some thoughts as well from you guys, especially after reading the following points on retake blog -
"Situations when you probably SHOULD NOT retake:
• You are within 50 points of the school's average GMAT score (in this case time is best spent on applications unless you have a bit of time and 30 points is a worthy increase).
• You are short on time (rather spend it on applications than GMAT. Most top 10-20 schoosl do not put a significant weight on GMAT score - we have plenty of 770 applicants with rejections
"
Please find below a snapshot of my profile ....... GURUS please advice how good is the combination of the above score with the profile below; so that I can appropriately channelize my energies on retake and application preparation.
My profile

Finally, in addition to the usual prep material I plan to enroll myself for
The Economist GMAT Tutor (at around$500 not cheap at all)- (but I think my preparation lacked proper structure, strategies, and direction)
People who have used the tool kindly share their experience and any other comments helping me with maximum ROI.
