HI!

I would be happy to answer and we would be very happy to assist you in elevating your GMAT knowledge and test taking abilities.
As for your studies in general: Signup for the free trial here (https://gmat.economist.com/), in order to begin, you simply need to follow the program by choosing how long you want your sessions to be and then clicking on 'start session' . You can let the system guide you instead of choosing only Quant or Verbal - this will allow you to keep a balanced approach to your studies. You can certainly choose a quant or verbal only scenario if you do not feel one day like doing one of the sections. Try to study for at least 4 or 5 hours during your trial week in order to give the program a chance to adapt itself to you.

Furthermore, how you study will matter. Make sure you work properly - not too fast! You want to ensure that you do not miss details and that you are reading the explanations fully. The idea is NOT to go through as many questions as fast as possible but to understand WHY you make certain errors. Basically you want to be as systematic as possible in your approach, always attacking questions from a knowledge base and less from intuition (this should only be used as a last resort).

Also, review your work, take notes on lessons and maybe even while attacking questions, ask for help when you need it.

After you reach about 50% of the course complete you can start taking sim tests (and certainly starting no later than two weeks before the real test). You can then take another sim test after every 10%-15% of progress and perhaps as you near the last 7-10 days before the test, you should take a test every 2 or 3 days to get used to the timing and stamina. It will be crucial to go over the exams you do (ours, mba.com's or any other exam) and have a debriefing with yourself in terms of noting what you got wrong and the reason why.

In terms of time required, on average, it takes our students about 80-120 hours to hit the 85-90% progress mark on our course. At this point, you will have finished all the lessons and theory, and we will then switch you over to maintenance mode for the remaining 15%. In maintenance mode, we present you with problems to review what you've already covered, especially as based on need; you will simply get a mixture of new and older question to hone your skills even further. Moreover, the practice exams will require an additional 15-30 hours.

Although our course is a fully comprehensive one, if you feel you need more practice, the only resource I would recommend is the Official Guide for GMAT Review (the 12th and, especially 13th edition), which is a resource of real (retired) GMAT questions, so you can add a bit more time to the above hours. Please note that generally you should only use this book once you have completed most of our program as it is only a practice book and does NOT teach a student how to attack each question type. Also note that we already have 5000+ questions in our program so the Official Guide, which only has about 850 questions, contains fewer (but good) questions. Also note that the Official Guide does not always provide the most proper explanations, so do rely on our lessons and techniques even if you use the OG (this is also why I strongly suggest doing the OG a bit later in our course). The point is: The Official Guide is an excellent extra resource. Use it in conjunction with our program, not as your main study resource.

As you can probably tell, there is a lot of material we need to cover for the GMAT. We've actually worked hard to condense a lot of the theory so that students with little time can finish our course quickly without missing what they need. We will close whatever knowledge gaps you may have without wasting time on material and practice items that are irrelevant.

All told our program is more efficient and effective than any other program out there, saving you both time and energy in your studies (books and classroom studies will certainly take much longer for obvious reasons). You will see that even in a short time on our program you will learn quite a bit more than you would with books or classroom courses (essentially these use books as well) in that you will not waste time on practicing items that do not make sense to practice at a particular time or level. Part of the innovation we have created is in the adaptiveness of the program which has a clear curriculum integrated to the person's abilities, levels and time needs. Our instructors will also do their part to assist you by answering your questions and through live 1 on 1 support. Every student goes from A to Z but the journey you take to get there will differ completely from any other student's experience. Therefore, the program will fully adapt to your levels and needs.

Enjoy your studies!

I enrolled for Byju’s GMAT program for INR 25,000 . My overall experience was very bad. Please read this, before you go for Byju’s for GMAT. Find below the details:

You will be provided with pre-recorded videos in tablet or SD card. The delivery was quick. They delivered the product to you in 7 working days as promised. Along with the pre-recorded videos, you will be asked to attend online webinar. Ideally we have to attend the webinar after we have learned the basics of that particular topic from the tablet.

The theory given in the tablet is good. But lot of practice questions given in the tablet are incorrect. The questions are very difficult and solution does not make any sense. At the end, it is very difficult to consume the entire material.

Lets come to worst part. The online webinars. I found that the faculty are teaching wrong concepts of Sentence correction in online webinar. I was shocked. I complained to Byju’s and they assured that faculty will be changed but in my next webinar, i found the same faculty. Also, she was a very bad speaker. Let me give you an example:

Imagine a SC question with 5 choices and C be the correct answer. Her response was

Read option A

“So here A is clearly wrong, Ok.”

Read option B

“B is clearly wrong Ok”

“Similarly D and E are wrong, So c is the answer”

I have mail chains of me complaining repeatedly to Byju’s about the tablet questions to be incorrect, online bad faculty. But it was of no use. They never gave me a proper reply and nothing was done about it. Also, when i asked i can come down to the center for doubt clarification, they simply said no to the same.

One more thing with Byjus, they never keep a log. If you are complaining about something, the next time you call, you have to explain everything again as if you are telling them the first time.

Just for credibility to this post. I was actual byju’s student.

The GMAT course you enroll for depends a lot on your learning needs. You could attend the free demo classes provided by various GMAT coaching institutes to see which one best meets your style of learning.

At CrackVerbal, we have structured our GMAT classroom course to meet the study requirements of today's busy working professionals who find it difficult to stay motivated to study for the GMAT.

Most of our instructors are alums from top B-schools, who have been through the entire GMAT and MBA application journey themselves. So they understand your requirements better!

You can check out the profiles of our GMAT instructors here: https://bit.ly/2HRz7KP

There are ideally 3 factors you need to look into before enrolling for any GMAT classroom coaching program:

1. The quality of faculty: How good is the faculty? Are they able to answer your questions and clear your doubts in a convincing manner?
2. The teaching methodology: Do you like their teaching style and the way the concepts are being explained?
3. The support provided: What happens if you miss a class? How do you get your doubts resolved? how accessible is the faculty to your needs?

Here is a video from one of our GMAT classroom session, which will give you a glimpse of the kind of interaction and insights we have in our classroom coaching sessions:

The CrackVerbal GMAT classroom course takes a minimum of 36 Classroom hours to finish the verbal coaching and 35 Classroom hours to finish the Quant coaching.

You can finish the comprehensive GMAT Classroom course either in 6 weeks or 12 weeks based on your preference.

If you miss any classes, then we could provide you with the recording for the same or you can re-attend the same class multiple times over the span of one year.

In Bangalore, we have GMAT coaching centers in Koramangala, Malleshwaram, and Marathahalli.

Before making up your mind, I would strongly recommend you to come and attend a live GMAT class for free at a CrackVerbal center near you!

You can call us at +91 8880560000 to book your free slot for a live class or check out https://bit.ly/2HDFykl to know more about our GMAT classroom course.
