Seriously, I have no idea how I did that. I took the GMAT 5 years ago, knowing that I would probably enter the workforce. Now, 5 years later it is time to get back to school. Studied for 3 months - really only Quant, with a little IR, and AWA for fun. I used Kaplan Premier 2014, and the Quant workbook, the OG book, GMATprep tests and a whole lotta gmatclub. Some confidence building practice tests (started 3 months ago in the high 600s and my last few tests were in the mid 700s), and off I went to the testing center.
The good news is that I scored in the 96th percentile in verbal!! Yay!! However, my 38th percentile in quant (the only part that I studied) is kind of bumming me out. As long as I'm putting it all out there, 650 overall, Q36, V42, IR6, AWA5.
This could not be test day jitters, right? I mean I would have freaked on the section that I didn't study too, right? I felt pretty darn good coming out of all sections. I may not have had time to click submit on the last quant question, but I know I had highlighted the answer. Regardless, if this answer were not recorded it would not impact my score too significantly.
My practice scores were much better than the score I received on test day, though I do not want to go to a top tier school unless I can go abroad. I will be applying to marketing programs at both FSU and UCF, and then I will retake the GMAT and try to get to France!
Pretty much just here to vent, thanks for listening!!
