Here is the general approach to CR questions
1. Read the question : identify question type
2. Read and analyze the argument
3. Pre-guess the answer; or at least figure out what the correct answer must do
4. Eliminate incorrect and irrelevant answer choices
In this case: 1. This is a weaken question, we need to find out the assumption of the argument to work with it.
2. Let's see what the assumptions could be:
Facts: newer model doesn't have educational features that older one had : newer model sold better.
Conclusion: Educational features not important in purchasing decision
Let's find out what seem off about this reasoning..
The wordings
"new model of its computerized storyteller lacking educational features present in the earlier model"betray a logical flaw: The author assumes lack of edu features present in older model = NO edu features at all!
Perhaps there were new edu features in the new toy? and perhaps this was why the toys sold better?
Option B directly introduces this detracting evidence and therefore questions the validity of the author's conclusion best.
