A strategy that worked for me was to work in increments on the verbal section. Improvements in SC come compartively easily so I first worked on SC. I went through the MGMAT guide for SC and then did some questions from the OG and other sources.
Thanks soods. Actually I also had a look (not very detailed study, I agree) at MGMAT, and somehow I felt that for building concepts (basic grammar concepts), it might not suit me..so perhaps I would need to supplement it with some basic grammar book.

I agree with the previous poster that you should tackle the verbal section strategically, methodically and with a plan. The OG is a great place to start cracking on Verbal questions. After you finish with the OG, you'll be in a good position to gauge what next step is right for you.

Thanks Elizabeth. Will definitely review the official guide, the way you have suggested. Also, as your article mentions, it is best to do SC questions, *after* reviewing concepts...I am way far from it right now :(
