Wondering what chances a guy with a 2 years work ex (as on 30th June 2015)in the engineering / construction background with great academics / very good extra curriculars has at Harvard / Stanford?
GMAT score of 730.

I am an MBA graduate myself (SDA Bocconi, Milan - 2011 Batch) and can definitely tell you thing from my experience. Currently I am working in Korea at Samsung Electronics in Global Account Management role.
You have a great GMAT but you are bit short on the experience front. You need to be very careful in deciding the right time to go for the MBA and it depends on person to person as everyone has different motivations.
Choosing the school is again is very crucial. Without the details of your profile its hard to tell your chances at Harvard/Stanford or other Ivey league schools. If you can share some details about your profile, I can help you with some clear suggestions.
Currently I am planning to mentor MBA aspirants to plan their MBA and reach their goals (be it specific school or scholarship or anything.) I am already helping one student for Columbia Business School for Mock Interviews. Let me know if you would like to seek guidance or help from me to reach your target schools. I am not selling any MBA consulting here, its just my personal thing which I do for free.
You have a good potential, and with proper planning (short term/long term) you can achieve great results.

Hey Dhiraj,
Thanks so much for your prompt reply, I really do appreciate it.
Some highlights from my profile are as follows:
1. Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal, India with a CGPA of 9.72 on 10 (3rd highest in my branch)
2. Consistent academics even in Tenth and Twelfth Grades (88% and 81% respectively)
3. Have represented my University at EDGEx (an International Education Conference) where our team presented a business idea.
4. Have been the President and Vice President of 2 separate clubs at MIT, Manipal winning various accolades fro social cultural dramatics.
5. Have also been a member of the Technical Resource Team of IEEE Mechanical - Student Branch.
6. In my school days, have won various debating / singing competitions as well as attended 2 International Festival of Performing Arts.
Apart from the Work Experience part, which I understand is less, how do you think my profile would look to the different AdComs. Kindly provide a fair evaluation.
