x = m/(2^3 * 3)

x = n/(2^2 * 7)

So if M is number which is a multiple of 3 and N is a number which is a multiple of 7, that cancels out in each of the cases.
That would make the denominator to have only power of 2 in both of the cases and hence a terminating decimal.

as m/6= n/7, it can be re-written as m/n= 6/7. 6/7 is the reduced ratio form that m/n can be equal to and as m and n are integers, m will be the multiple of 6 and n will be the multiple of 7 such that their reduced ratio will always be equal to 6/7, for ex- 12/14; 18/21 etc
