When I first took the GMAT I scored 640. I was expecting a 700+ score. I was really disappointed. I thought that a 700+ score is not for me. I was at the point of accepting 640 and applying to B-schools that accept a 640 score. But that is when I realized that why cant I score 700+. I began to think that what I did not do right ? . There must be something lacking because of which I scored 640. I decided not to give up and take the GMAT again. Just 5 days after my first GMAT , I scheduled to take GMAT again in 31 days. Everybody advised not to take the GMAT again and wanted me to believe that 640 was a decent score but I decided to take it again.
This time , I could not have taken any chances. I searched for the best verbal course for non-natives( I come from India). I found very positive reviews for the
E-GMAT course. I took the verbal course of E-GMAT. Then I searched for the best GMAT mocks.
MGMAT was the clear winner here. I subscribed to the
MGMAT test series. So, I did the verbal
E-GMAT course +
MGMAT test series + OG13( again) . Here are my reviews for these courses -
1. E-GMAT verbal course - Simply outstanding. It made verbal very easy for me. Sentence correction course is amazing. I think there cannot be a better SC course in the market. The tips in their CR course helped me a lot , specially when I had to eliminate answer choices. The RC course was also amazing. The tips do help very much during the exam when there is a lot of pressure on you.
2.
MGMAT test series - Again , I wish I had done it the first time. Amazing questions and very close to GMAT. ( Although I crossed 700 in only one of their tests out of 6 , but they prepare you well for the exam day).
3
GMAT club tests - They are a must do . They have an amazing question base which really helps.
If you want to take my advice - E-GMAT verbal +
MGMAT test series + OG13 , along with
gmat club tests for practice = a 700+ score.
I gave my GMAT exam on 30 Dec and scored 710 . I was too happy to see the score. I had finally crossed 700. I made it to the 90th percentile zone.
So guys never give up , hard work along with right choices would take you towards your dream score.
I hope my review helps .
