Hi apple08,

With a 680+ score goal, you will have to improve 260+ points - this will require a LOT of work. My guess is that it would take at least 3 months of consistent, guided study to hit this score goal - randomly working through a series of books is probably NOT going to be enough though. Have you considered investing in a GMAT Course of some type (either Guided Self-Study or instructor-led)?
