Hi rajsaha92,

I would not study new topics in the final week. After (I'm assuming) months of preparation, your skill set is probably fixed. Trying to cram in new topics without sufficient practice time would probably hurt more than it would help.

At this stage you want to affirm that no “rust” has accumulated on the topics that you have studied. One great way to find such weak topics is by completing timed problem sets from the Official Guide. Set a timer for 30 minutes and do 15 questions in a row. After finishing, spend some time reviewing your wrong answers. Do some deep analysis of why your responses were incorrect, reviewing, if necessary, your notes concerning your weakest topics. If you want to take one more practice exam, to stay fresh, be sure that you take an official exam from MBA.com. As above, once complete, analyze your mistakes and figure out remedies for them. Do not take any practice exams within 48 hours of your actual GMAT. At that point you want your brain to be relaxed for the big day!

I also wrote an article that has some more detailed strategies of what to do the week leading up to your exam as well as some test day tips.

Good luck!
