Hi MoM,

Alphametic questions are remarkably rare on the Official GMAT - chances are that you will not see any on Test Day. That having been said, much of what you need to know to answer those types of questions can be found in basic arithmetic and Number Properties, so building up your skills in those two areas would help a great deal when the rare situation arises in which you need to answer an alphametic question. If you come across any sample questions from that category that you'd like some help with, then you can always post them in the respective PS and DS forums here.

I am looking for some sample Qs and their solution strategy for alphametic Qs.

Hi MoM,

Have you come across any of these questions during your studies that you'd like help with? As I mentioned, they're NOT a big part of the GMAT (you will probably not see any on Test Day), so committing valuable study time to this subject seems like a poor use of that time. If you're dead-set on focusing on this subject though, you'll find a few floating around in the forums and in the OG books.
