I recently came across an amazing & useful article by Stacey Koprince (from Manhattan Prep) that describes various techniques to organize the scratch paper. I must say that I have saved a lot of time in my practice tests following the guidelines!
I am sure that the guidelines will help you too -- especially the technique to track the time in quants (see attached image) is awesome --
