Answer is E. Boys wash 100/8 cars per hour = 12.5
Girls wash 5 cars/hr=5
Hence boys wash 7.5 more cars

wtf .. question is correct . but ask appxroximartely .. so that 7.5 will be rounded of to 8 .. and keep 8 as any one of the option . how can cars be 7.5

If the boys can wash 100 cars in 8 hours, then they can wash 100/8 = 12.5 cars per hour. Since the girls can wash 5 cars per hour, the difference is:

12.5 - 5 = 7.5
