Ah, glad it's finally time to write my debrief. I've learned a lot on gmatclub and just wanted to share some of my insights (hoping they'll be useful to someone)
This will be short, as I'm not good at writing posts but bear with me.
Prep time- nearly 2 solid months + a few months on and off(worked full time the whole period, so only get a few hours a day on days when the traffic isn't bad and weekends)
Quant-
I was scoring around Q50 range and never had a problem with it so not sure if I can add much here.
I've reviewed the Gmatclub Math handbook a few times and solved most of the "tough" collections like this here-
https://gmatclub.com/forum/12-easy-piec ... 26366.htmlMake sure to go through the solutions(all by Bunuel) even if you have solved something correctly, this might help you find new concepts/easier methods of solving.
Verbal-
This was the pain for me. It felt hard initially and seemed like every question I attempt I just can't be sure if it's right. Well, even before or during the test, I couldn't be 100% sure I was picking the right option but eh.
So Sentence correction, I guess manhattan SC guide is the best, although it mostly has concepts. So applying them on official questions is important.
Critical Reasoning I haven't reviewed any specific material, just solved problems and read explanations. I believe you'll get the hang of it if you solve multiple problems along with maybe understanding the question types(like strengthen, evaluate etc.)
Reading comprehension is tough to improve and thought this was my bad area after randomly solving some questions, but don't get disheartened if you feel like me. I took the OG and then redid all of the passages and that's when I realised it wasn't so bad. Similar to CR, there's no guide to this but you should just get the hang of the questions. And don't forget to review even your correct answers.
Genera advice- some of the expert replies here are really good. So not just solving a question, but always think about how you can apply it elsewhere. Not to mention some of my favorite experts(based on their replies/advice) were Mike(from
Magoosh, and the nice blog posts he write like this one here-
https://magoosh.com/gmat/2012/gmat-sent ... ike-vs-as/)and GmatNinja(awesome QOTDs)
Feel free to ask if you guys have questions, happy to help! And good luck with your exam!!
