Hey guys,
I have been preparing for the GMAT for two months now (started on 1st August). Until now, I have completed Quant and Verbal from the standard
Manhattan prep guides. Apart from that, I have completed the OG'18 for quant and verbal respectively. After the first round of practice, I stand at (from OG'18):
PS Medium 86%
PS Hard 84% (Corrected my silly calculation mistakes for a few questions)
DS Medium 82%
DS Hard Did not attempt
RC Medium 77%
RC Hard 56% (By far my weakest link)
CR Medium 80%
CR Hard 70%
SC Medium 85%
SC Hard 76%
I plan on taking the GMAT in December (haven't book the date yet). I now plan to start taking tests and reviewing the errors I made, along with starting off with Advanced Quant to boost my PS and DS performances respectively. However, due to college exams; starting Monday, I will not be able to study regularly till 5th November. After that, I will be beginning with Advanced Quant and tests. Until then, in whatever time I can manage, I plan on reading GMAT Club's Grammar book and flashcards.
What are the loopholes in my plan, and how can I improve upon them? What are some of the things I can do in the interim to not lose touch and not mess up the test scores? As things stand, I believe that I can improve my Verbal scores by paying more attention to details. Should I consider buying the Advanced Verbal Guide from GMAC?
Also, where should I squeeze in time for IR and AWA?
Help and suggestions would be appreciated!
(PS: I am aiming at achieving as high a GMAT score I can).
