Hi,

As per the India Skills Report of 2022, MBA graduates are projected to have an employability rate of 55.09% in 2023 - 2024 and the trend will only go up, surpassing all other fields. The tuition fee is a crucial expense to consider when applying for an MBA program abroad. To provide an overview of the average tuition fees, here is a list showcasing the costs for some of the top study-abroad destinations:

    USA
    USD 50,000 - USD 60,000
    UK
    EUR 35,000 - EUR 50,000
    Canada
    CAD 30,000 - CAD 40,000
    Australia
    AUD 40,000 - AUD 60,000

The cost of living is an essential expense that international students pursuing an MBA must consider, as it constitutes a significant portion of their total expenses during their study abroad period. It is crucial to account for the cost of housing, transportation, meals, healthcare, and other daily expenses when planning for your MBA journey abroad.

    USA
    USD 1,000 - USD 1,500
    UK
    EUR 900 - EUR 1,300
    Canada
    CAD 1,000 - CAD 1,200
    Australia
    AUD 1,100 - AUD 1,500

Hope this information is useful for you.

Thank you. Are the living expenses for the United States is that per week or per month?

In my experience, you need almost 50% more than what the school budget suggests… more over the school budget is only for the time you spend in school which is about eight or nine months out of the year. The other three or four months another included in those costs and estimates and you’re supposed to pay for it using your internship or other sources if you don’t get a paid internship.

The cost of living per month, considering a student lives on the bare minimum expenses like sharing accommodation and using public transportation, is often underestimated. However, you are absolutely correct in pointing out that in reality, the cost of living is higher than what schools suggest. I also agree that the school's suggested budget for the cost of living typically covers only the 8-9 months a student spends at school.

During the remaining time, students often have to rely on paid internships or other sources of income. Alternatively, they can gain a better understanding of the actual cost of living through networking and opt for an education loan larger than the amount suggested by the school. This strategy can be quite helpful, as students can secure approval for the larger amount and disburse the funds accordingly, especially during these 3-4 months when additional financial support may be needed.
