MBA in UK for Indian students?

Question

Hi,

I am planning to apply for MBA in UK for 2019 intake. However, I have been reading some strange reviews regarding work permit in UK.
When I searched more on the same (on UK gov and visa sites), I can find no issues as such. (Student visa- easily convertible to work permit, which is extensible)

Am I missing something? What exactly is the visa situation in UK (specially for Indian students)? And assuming I land a job after the MBA, how easy/possible it is to settle in UK itself?

Edit - I tried finding a few Indian Alumini from schools like Warwick, MBS etc, on LinkedIn, and I could find only a couple of people who have settled in UK after the MBA. (Hoping it is just my bad searching skills or people are not updating their LinkedIn profiles regularly

As far as I know, the current situation to get a work permit in UK if you aren't the resident is very bad. I would prefer restricting myself if I don't have a backup plan.

Any specific reason for the opinion? Anyone you know who had any trouble or any articles you read? I am not really keen for US schools, ruling out UK too cuts down my possible list of schools to a very short one.

Due to Brexit, the workers migrating to the UK has been limited. I heard the UK government is planning to extend the OPT period from 3 months to 6 months. The bill not passed yet. But it should be by 2019. So if you are lucky to convert that OPT into a work permit. You can surely try it.

I have been to UK quite some time and got couple of our guys in Ox Said , MBS from my campus .Overall situation on T4 visa may be good but getting extended or converted into T2 will be very difficult ( 2%) .You will get 12+4 = 16 month in T4 but you need to figure out any sponsorer much before you start your MBA .Its better to go for Ireland or Canada than UK or Europe .Ireland is another place for lot of IT companies and quite amount of desi shops where you can get sponsor visa .In Canada , you can apply for PR or work permit post MBA
