Hi Pushpikc,
I am not sure I understand the answer.

(1) Since we know that the longest piece is equal to the sum of the other pieces then can't we write:

a+b+c = 7 feet
(a+b)= c
Therefore 2c = 7 feet.
c = 3.5 feet.

Relationship of a and b is unknown, so insufficient.

(2) Lenght of the shortest piece is 6", so therefore 0.5 feet.

Still insufficient

(1+2).

Now, we already have C = 3.5 Feet, A or B = 0.5 feet, so therefore the other lenght = 7 - 0.5 - 3.5 = 7-4 = 3.

I would answer in this case C : Sufficient for (1+2)

Can you please comment if this is correct or not?

Thanks.

Thanks for pointing that out. I think it should be Option C also. Corrected my solution - Thanks
