You could start by going through this thread. You're starting reasonably early, so it's likely that you will have enough time to prep for the GMAT.

Hi,
You should start with taking a GMAT prep free CAT to understand your current level of knowledge i.e, weak and strong areas. For foundation and concepts, you can start with MANHATTAN GUIDES latest edition for Q & V topics. Keep an ERROR LOG from the start of your preparation in which you can keep all the details of your mistakes that you will make while practicing. Also make a LEARNING LOG in which you can jot down important concepts, formulas, trap answer choices, strategies etc. Be active on GMAT club Quant and Verbal forums and solve questions. Make a habit of solving at least 10 questions of each topic daily. After going through all these stuffs, buy a course of any good test prep company such as your pocket allows. You can try e-gmat, Magoosh, Veritas etc. Try to earn kudos by posting answers on forums and that will give you free subscription to GMAT CLUB tests for 3 months by redeeming 25 kudos points time.
