Hi Mandan39,

The website appears to describe the GMAT, so I would have to assume that "SMAT" is a typo (and that it's supposed to state "GMAT"). I suppose it's possible that SMU developed its own standardized test, but it's far more likely that SMU expects applicants to take the GMAT. I suggest that you contact the Admissions Department at SMU and ask - I'm sure that they would be happy to answer any questions that you have.

I agree that it’s likely that the SMAT is SMU’s own version of the GMAT. That said, definitely reach out to the folks in admissions to see if they can provide some further information.
