Hello,
I wanted to ask if it is possible by any chance to get into a decent Data Science program given my characteristics. I have never studied or worked in data science (but i learned after school it is what i want to do) and i'm looking to get into a Business/Financial Analytics Masters Program at a decent school (USC, Caroll, Warrington, IE, EADA, Amsterdam SOB, George Washington, or UM SOB) in the US or in Western Europe. I would like to know if it is at all possible for me to achieve this considering my lack of experience in the area and mediocre college GPA, and my lack of math courses in college (took very few).
College GPA - 2.88 at a Liberal Arts School (double majored in Economics and International Business, minored in Political Science - 4.5years)
GMAT - Probably will be around 680-710, looking for at least Q48 and V37 (have not taken but avering around this area in practice test)
WE - 1.5 years Project Manager (in Dominican Republic) - manage financial data for large electrical infrastructure projects
I am also completing two specializations in Coursera business and financial modeling (by Wharton) and the Data Science (by IBM).
I plan to take the CFA in December, but i would probably apply to schools before then.
Thank you, and please let me know what i should do to improve my chances between here and september if possible, and if i have any chance at all to get into such a program.
-I also plan to teach myself python this fall
