There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
5 years experience as a product manager in a fintech firm. 700 GMAT, 3.9 Undergraduate GPA (triple major math, stats, & econ), 3.7 graduate GPA (finance phd, but didn't finish it and quit the program after 2 years). My background is very quant and academic, I guess that's why Booth welcomes me while Kellogg hates me
All the admits- have you been told if the classes will be in person? My understanding is that most of the weekend students travel from out of the state, how is that going to work?
Did anyone who was moved from Summer to Fall hear back this week? I saw in earlier posts that the first wave admits had an info session last week and there were 40 or so admits.
Got acceptance from Booth but no word from Kellogg yet. I am also planning to request Kellogg for expedited decision.
Congrats! Looks like Kellogg is way more competitive than Booth this year. What is your preferred choice?
I talked to few MBA friends, now inclining towards Booth...
Curious what your friends said about Booth vs Kellogg?
I have chosen Booth and have my reasons (not applicable reasons to everyone though, depends on what people want from the MBA program).

As you correctly pointed out reasons vary based on what you want from MBA. With that said, my friend pointed out couple of differentiating factors when compared to Kellogg - Booth's focus on individual excellence and top professors.

The flexible curriculum was definitely a key difference for me, being a slightly older/more experience part time student who should really be in an Executive program except they are more expensive and the coursework is usually quite rigid lol. Curious if your friends meant anything else in terms of individual excellence or if this what they were referring to?
ParttimeMBAer856 Individual excellence primarily in academics seems critical factor in Booth application process. Not sure but I heard majority in Booth MBA programs have quants background. It is also reflected in Booth culture overall just look at their world renowned faculties...
What is your background and are you Joining weekend or evening program at Booth? If I join Booth, it will be evening program.
bazzinga123 I accepted the Booth's offer. After a whole day of research on courses, Booth's courses fit me better as it provides me enough room to dive deep. And there are already lots of events, competitions and labs for admitted students, which is good, but I need to accept the offer to join.
It seems that Booth is much quicker in terms of getting back to applicants. Has anyone taken the Executive Assessment instead of the GMAT and applied? Considering taking the EA in lieu of the GMAT and applying to Booth as well. Any thoughts/comments from the group would be very helpful and highly appreciated. Thank you!
I am just wondering that after announcing the 1st wave of admits in the first week of July, there is no news since then. I guess we need to wait till Aug 7 to get a decision. Hope I am wrong
It would be interesting to find out the amount of individuals in this chat who were accepted to Kellogg this first wave but have accepted Booth offers.
