An artist must suffer for his art
And in an attempt to be regarded as artists, the successful entrepreneurs show their "suffering" by auctioning off their (mediocre) drawings to the highest bidder (as if out of financial urge) and then appear to be immersed in bitterness, resentment. The purpose is to show the pain they undergo for the sake of making art, just like what artists do. So (B).
just share my thinking and welcome all corrections for my improvement!
