The right idiom is   not just   x   but also   y   or   not only   x   but also   y   or   both   x   and   y  .   x   and   y   have to be parallel.
In option A,  x :  of the supernatural , a prepositional phrase, and  y :  they are eccentric , a clause.  x  and   y   are not parallel. A prepositional phrase cannot be parallel to a clause. Eliminate A.

Option B: The idiom is  both x and y  and not  both x as well as y . We can eliminate B.
