Suppose, C1, C2, C3, C4, and C5 are five companies. The profits made by C1, C2, and C3 are in the ratio 9 : 10 : 8 while the profits made by C2, C4, and C5 are in the ratio 18 : 19 : 20. If C5 has made a profit of $19,000 crore more than C1, then the total profit (in $) made by all five companies is:

Profit of C1 = 9x
Profit of C2 = 10x = 18y — (1)
Profit of C3 = 8x
Profit of C4 = 19y
Profit of C1 = 20y
again, 20y = 19,000 + 9x [given condition ] — (2)
solving (1) and (2) we get, x=9,000 and y=5,000
So, Total profit = 9x +10x + 8x + 19y + 20y = 438,000
Option (A)

Profit of C1 = 20y

I did this way.
c1: c2:c3:c4:c5::162:180:144:190:200
Now I know c5-c1= 19
Ratio difference of c5-c1= 38
Sum of ratio= 876
So total = (sum of ratio for all/difference of ration of c5 and c1)* value of c5-c1
(19/38)*876= 438
A is answer.
