Hi,
I am a final year engineering student(graduating 2020) and I see myself doing an MBA after a few years. Due to Corona Virus, I found myself at home with a lot of free time. I felt that it's a good idea to write the GMAT soon since it will be harder to study when I start working a few months later. I'm already studying hard and aiming for a good score. I know that scores are valid for 5 years, but I was just concerned if the colleges would have any issues with me submitting a score from a few years earlier. I would be glad to receive any help or advice!

If fact it is normally recommended by experts that a well-prepared GMAT attempt and a good GMAT score is a boon for MBA applications. If you have ample time for preparation then you must prepare well and try to get a very good GMAT score preferably 700+. I haven't heard any issue about colleges not accepting few years old GMAT score till now but you should definitely consult an expert for the same.
You should be feeling lucky that you are getting ample time for preparation which you may not get during job.

It is a very good decision that you are utilizing your this time and I wish you would get an outstanding score in GMAT score. As far I know it will not make any problem if you send the score a few years earlier. More importantly, when you will apply in MBA program, your CV will show that in the middle of time before finally applying to the program you engage yourself in job that is a vital factor to get admission and fund in MBA program.
