Hi Andrew,

I contacted the proctor twice and did not get a helpful reply i.e We cannot help you directly with a question. How should I report this to GMAC and how should I present evidence?
Hi Wowza25,

I agree with MentorTutoring. You should reach out to Pearson immediately, here. Don't worry about making your case. They'll probably have the chat logs, and figuring out the "why" is their problem, not yours.

How should you report this? I would copy and paste the pertinent parts of your posts in a message to the GMAC™ customer care team.

Just finished the Online GMAT. When I reached questions requiring me to answer questions about bold-faced texts, I could not see any text bolded in the passage in the system. Was I supposed to do something to activate the bold-face? I contacted the proctor twice and did not get a helpful reply i.e We cannot help you directly with a question.

Add something about the number of boldface questions you believe you had encountered, and express concern about the potential outcome for your test. I think that will just about do the trick. Just do not sit on this. The longer you wait, the less likely you will be to see a positive outcome, in my view.

Glad to hear that you took action. Although my general inquiries have taken seemingly forever to be answered, I have noticed that Online GMAT™ questions, particularly when a test-taker expresses concern over a technical issue encountered during the administration of the exam, tend to be answered quickly. I would be surprised if you had to wait more than 2-3 business days.

Good luck. Please let us know how it all turns out. (Good for future reference as a tutor.)

Wow, that seems like a glitch. Please let us know what you are told when someone from GMAC follows up with you.

This is definitely unusual and your test cannot be considered valid. If you outline the situation to GMAC, they should be giving you a retake option.

Hi guys, quick update. Got my score back today and the glitch definitely affected my Verbal score (49 Quant, 34 Verbal). Filed an incident report with GMAC so hopefully I will be able to get a retake option at least.
