hello,
I recently took the Gmat online exam and I had an absolutely dreadful experience.
On 30th July, I took the Gmat online exam. The first section was quants and so when I was on the 5th or 6th question, the proctor said that he couldn't see my face due to some technical issue so he would close the exam window and launch it again and I would be able to continue my exam from where I left. So when he launched it again, I was able to continue the exam from where I left but now I had 4 fewer minutes. I was really angry at the time but I decided not to fight over this 4 minutes else I'll lose more time. At the end of quant section, I missed 2 questions.
Now, next section was verbal, everything was going fine until the proctor asked me not to mumble or he'll revoke my exam. I stopped mumbling but after few questions, I started mumbling again because I couldn't focus or understand the question but this time I was mumbling so quietly that even if a person was next to me, he or she couldn't hear me. So when I was on the 26th question, the proctor revoked my exam.
Nowhere in the Gmat online exam rule book, it's written that test taker is not allowed to mumble.
I was preparing for the exam for more than 6 months and I even invested more than 2500$. It's really an absurd reason to cancel someone's exam just because that person was mumbling.
Since then, I have written many emails to PEARSON VUE but they always say it's "under process". Because of this, I'll miss round 1 of many universities.
