If you were to retake the GMAT, how likely is it that you could duplicate your score and improve your AWA? If the answer is at least "likely," then it's worth it. You actually have little to lose as most of the top schools count your highest score.

If you can't improve your AWA or you do better on AWA (but worse on the GMAT), then we should discuss. Overall though, an AWA of 3.0 is of very little significance to the overall process. Your GMAT score and your Quant score, in particular, are what mostly counts. If you write really good essays as a non-native speaker and you perform well in the interview (assuming you are granted one), you should clear the bar.

Honestly with the AWA being so easy to handle, it is almost bizare to get such a low AWA score 😬
