Need some help for prep strategy.
I started my prep a month back and I have finished the MGMAT’s and halfway through my Fundamental OG-21. I am planning on finishing my verbal and quant OG subsequently and moving to Advanced OG post that. I have my exam scheduled on Jan 2 and clearly I am running against time.
I shall start my mocks soon( from Dec 1st). And also I am reading the GMAT Club Grammar Book for my SC.
Does this sound like a decent plan for achieving a 700+ ?
Btw this would be my first attempt and I am actually maintaining a written log of my errors (Old school notebook) and learnings ( from all sources).

To start, a CAT/mock is really a 'measuring device' - when used correctly, it will give you a realistic score and help define your strengths and weaknesses, but it will NOT help you to fix any of those weaknesses. To raise your scores, you have to learn the necessary Tactics and put in the proper practice and repetitions. The CAT will show you whether your studies are helping you to improve or not. In addition, the process of taking (and reviewing) a CAT requires a significant amount of energy and effort - and takes time to 'recover' from. This is one of the reasons why you typically shouldn't take more than 1 CAT per week - and your last CAT should be taken about 1 week before Test Day. Going forward, you really shouldn't take more than 1 FULL CAT per week.
Based on your initial post, it does not sound as though you have taken any CATs yet - so we have no idea of what your actual 'ability level' is right now. By extension, there's no way to know if your current Study Plan is going to be effective at getting you to a 700+ in the timeframe that you have described. As such, I suggest that you take your 1st CAT sometime soon (and not wait until December 1st). You can access 2 for free at www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). That score will give us a good sense of your current strengths and weaknesses and will help provide a basis for comparison as you continue to study. A FULL CAT takes about 3.5 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have that Score, you should report back here (or you can feel free to PM me directly) and we can discuss the results and discuss how you might best proceed with your studies.

1) How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) Are you planning to take the At-home GMAT or are you planning to take your GMAT at a Test Facility?
3) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to? If you are planning to apply sometime soon, then what specific application deadlines are you facing?
