Hi junii.

If your primary focus is verbal, then don't choose magoosh, I already have it and trust me there are lot more better resources for verbal. Magoosh is good for quant.
For CR, you can use PowerScore CR Bible, it's great!
Please go through few reviews and choose wisely.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for your advice.
For me my weakest area is SC and RC compared to CR, do you have any other source suggestion?

For SC, you can go with Manhattan SC guide(I'm going to start that from tomorrow).
Egmat is also a better resource.
RC - no idea:(

I can also recommend the Kaplan Verbal Workbook, though the MGMAT Verbal book is definitely more comprehensive and goes a lot deeper but Kaplan is good if you are short on time. I used the Kaplan one in my prep.

The key to RC is following the strategy exactly to the point. Not deviating by a bit. If it says you close your eyes and dream about the passage, that is what you do - if it is says take notes then you take notes and if it says to summarize the passage then that's what you do. When you cut corners and try to be the expert that's when RC falls apart... you do need a A LOT of time for RC though.

Hi junii,

If you are looking to score significantly higher on your next Official GMAT, then we'll need to make sure that you are focused on honing the necessary skills. If you just end up working through sets of practice questions in the same ways that you did before, then you will likely continue to score at the same general level. Thankfully, the GMAT is a consistent, predictable Exam, so you CAN train to score at a higher level.

I'll be happy to help you plan out this next phase of your studies, but we need to better define how you have been studying up to this point:

1) Did you take the At-home GMAT or did you take your Exam(s) at a Test Center? On what dates did you take each of your 3 Official GMATs and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
2) What study materials have you used over the course of ALL of yours studies?
3) Over the last 3 months, on what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
4) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

Hi all.
I took GMAT 3 times and in my last two attempts Verbal was 32% Math 53% and 27%, Quant 57% And my overall score is ended up being 560 overall.
I have prepared over a last year.I would like to give it a try within two months preferably. My target score is around 650.
I think i should register for verbal focused prep course which also contains practice questions, because now i have actually covered most of OG questions and on gmatclub forum, therefore i also need good quality questions with sufficient explanations.
I also seeking for value for money course e.g not very expensive.
I have in my mind Magoosh premium course 249$.
Please guys recommend me courses which can improve my score also at the same time, with tons of good question.
Thanks a lot.

Hi junii,

I was in a similar situation a few months ago. I scored 570 in my first GMAT attempt with Q43 and V26. I realized that there is much more to learn than just the concepts. I enrolled in an online course called GMATWhiz and improved my score to 680 and then to 720. I learnt many methods and strategies, which I was not aware before.

Debrief of my journey from 570 to 720

When you choose a resource, make sure you choose the one which can help you with the right methods, detailed solutions and your weak areas. May be you should check the free trial of the course before choosing it. I personally recommend GMATWhiz because I found it helpful.

Thank you for your advice. I will have a look at your post. May i ask which types of plan have you purchased from gmatwhiz? Was it only verbal or combined?

There are some free resources to check out as well. Check out the gmatclub in house math guide if you get the chance. It's free and downloadable as a pdf.
