Hey guys,
So I just gave my first attempt online after studying properly for about 3 months. Haven’t yet received my score but I know it’s going to be disappointing.
Gave Manhattan mocks with an average of 640~ on 4 tests (averaging mid 40s in Q and high 30’s in V), and scored 710 on the Official Test 2 (Q48 V39)
However, on the actual test, I was taken aback by the level of quant questions. Initially, I thought I’m doing well, and hence am getting difficult questions, but I got a few I had no idea how to solve, and I had to guess them, but didn’t feel the difficulty to be substantially lower subsequently. I was shocked that this was my state. It felt like I had no prep at all. I just want to know, has anybody else also experienced this? It felt like a Manhattan quant test. I’m bad at sets and P&C/probability, and saw a lot of questions from these topics, except probability
Verbal was fine, but I was still kind of shocked with the quant section and I think it had an impact especially while I was attempting CR questions. I got a complicated boldface and method of reasoning question, so I guess it wasn’t that bad? But I know this isn’t a substantial indicator
But my question is where should I go from here ? I’ve solved OG and taken GMATWhiz’s course which I found be to be extremely helpful, in addition to practicing on gmat club. I’m dreading to get the scores, and am looking to waste no time in waiting, so I can prepare myself better for a retest in 2-3 weeks’ time

I guess you should wait to make any firm decision until you get back your score but out of curiosity, is there a particular reason why you must retake the GMAT in just 2 to 3 weeks?

We last discussed your studies and plans back in May, so while we're waiting for your Official Scores to arrive, I'd like to know a bit more about how you've been studying over the last 3 months and your goals:
Studies:
1) Over the last 3 months, what type of study routine were you following? How many hours did you typically study each week?
2) Did you use any other study materials besides the course that you mentioned?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
Goals:
4) Is your overall goal score 700 or something else?
5) What are your current application plans? If you plan to apply soon, then what specific application deadlines are you facing?
