Which mim program can I expect
My profile -

Indian
21 years
Will complete my bachelors in management studies this year Gpa 9.6/10
12th - 90%
10th - 95%

Gmat expecting 720+

Internships - I haven’t don’t any yet and this is what I am worried about

Work experience- I had an event management start-up started in February 2018 but had to shut down in 2020 due to COVID.
In 2 years we did a few corporate events including an event for NDTV( national news channel in India ) and a car launch for Mahindra. We also did Indian selection rounds for a beauty pageant held in Bali.
Besides event management I have always worked in my family business, handling a factory with my uncle. It’s a jewellery manufacturing business and I have 50 workers working under me.

Leadership roles- event manager as explained above
Handling a factory
Besides these I was head of a committee in my college’s s cultural festival and had around 20 students directly under me.

Hello ShubhhJain,

Thank you for sharing. Truthfully, you will have the best chances of success if you can secure some sort of internship experience prior to applying. Granted, MiM programs do not require applicants to have work experience, but many will either work for a year or so before enrolling or have strong internship experience that they can leverage in their applications.

If you do feel that now is the best time for you to apply, a lot is riding on your GMAT and how you portray your role at your family business. Those coming from family businesses sometimes have to work a little harder to prove themselves to the admissions committee since they have a harder time evaluating how good your work truly was.

This is something we help applicants articulate via our comprehensive packages. Happy to discuss your profile in more detail/how we can help set you up for success. Feel free to reach out to [email protected].

Regards,
