Thanks, Mannan and Mamta, for your replies. Very helpful.

I am a Doctor (BDS) now planning to do my MBA - from ISB ! Have over 5 years experience, 2 years as a practicing dentist and 3 years as an Analyst. Was wondering after my MBA, what type of placements should I expect in ISB.

Thanks

Hello Rikul,

Here are my thoughts.

Work ex: 2-5 years is a sweet spot so its bang on as far as ISB is concerned. Few of the options that I can think of right away (not sure where you are working as an analyst though and would need some more insight there):-
• Consulting: In consulting, you can be taken in as someone for the pharma/hospitals industry knowledge in strategy and ops consulting
• Sales and Mktg: Depending on your analyst background and industry you are working in you can get into various roles in Pharma, sales and mktg. being one. I know of many colleagues/friends who are in fact also working in R&D, Portfolio development etc.
• Healthcare transformation & strategy: Again these could also be some roles where you might fit in
• Leadership roles in Pharma/Biotech: These are specific roles offered in ISB where you can fit in too, which are more like rotational roles across divisions, preparing you for the senior leadership levels

Hope this helps. If you think you just want to chat up and get an understanding or maybe need some help with in depth profile eval, please feel free to reach out to us on [email protected]

Thanks Mamta, this is super helpful !

From the student profiles, I find that there is a dentist/MBA in Co 2021. Does anyone have any info which company he/she was placed (with some ball park package figures ) - any info on this would give me a direct peek of where I am headed for ! Thanks in advance.

Hello,
I understand Axis Bank comes over to ISB to hire women under their WE programme? I would love to know what sort of roles are being offered? Any other organization that does women centric hiring? What roles might they be? Would really appreciate information on the same.

Hi crazyphoton7289,

Various roles exist for 10+ years of experience candidates. While overarchingly the no. of roles for such folks are less, but so is the total no. of candidates in the Class with 10+ years of exp.
Manufacturing - Leadership roles such as Amazon Pathways, Cummins Leadership programs, Hilti leadership roles etc.
Consulting firms - such as Deloitte hired people unpil 12 years of experience
There could be others - many firms also offer roles in Strategy, sometimes its also seen folks ending up in Ops roles in other industries.

Hope this helps

Hello Chinmayee,

Many women leadership programmes do come to ISB. Also companies focusing on diversity hires today is increasing largely. One key metric also is % women hired from campus for companies. This is the full list here of various employers which visit ISB, but I can say many scholarships and roles like Axis is focused for women candidates and those which dont openly discuss, they too have a diversity hiring focus nowadays in general:

Hope this helps
