GMAT Time Doesn't Match

Question

Hi everyone,

I got my GMAT moved last minute from yesterday to today due to internet issues. I logged into MBA com and saw that the test on there is scheduled for 7:30PM EST but my email said 6:30 PM EST. I called the support number on the MBA site and they said to go off the time on my email, but to call GMAC just in case. I tried calling GMAC multiple times with no response. What should I do? I'm going to check in at 6 PM anyway, assuming that it's at 6:30. But will it cause any tech disruption on my end? Please let me know if there's another number I should call to confirm.

I like your idea of checking in at 6pm just to be safe. Also, I would keep calling the folks at GMAC until you find someone who can answer your question.

Wow. That’s a crazy complication. Did any of the timestamps either in the email or on the website have a EST or EDT next to it? I wonder if it has to do with the time change for the daylight savings. Just giving the GMAC the benefit of the doubt.

PS. You know for sure around 6 PM Eastern when you log into your account and if the link to start the test had shown up, then the test is at 6:30.

I wouldn’t bother wasting your time calling anymore.

Hi  ScottTargetTestPrep  and  bb  Thanks for your help. I've been calling all day with no luck. I also tried to check in at 6 PM EST and unfortunately was not able to check in, despite attempting the system test multiple times. I emailed them through all avenues. Since I can't reach them right now, I will continue monitoring and calling until I can take the exam.

Thank you so much for the update.

Most important - don’t stress it. It will be OK. Do your best on the test! Worry only about one question at a time. Once you submit an answer, don’t worry about that question anymore. It’s gone and it doesn’t matter. Just focus on the question you’re on. If you’re tired, don’t worry about the rest of the test. Just focus on the question you’re on. Don’t worry about your future or what score you get in the GMAT or what school you’ll get into over scholarship you’ll get. Just focus on the question you have in front of you 😎

I would also suggest to not try anything new today and just rely on your usual strategies and usual approach.

bb wow you have no idea how much this helps me! I had to re-do my exam due to test anxiety the first time around and it seems like it's affecting me now too. I'm much more prepared, have done 6 mock exams, all with 600+ or 650+ scores, which is great for me
